Fixed Entropy

As you can tell there is a new theme up and I am in the midst of Tweaking it to make sure its what I want. This will take some time but it is my goal. If you have come here looking for my blog it has been moved. You can contact me if you would like the link.

Graphics will be added as soon as they are sized and loaded, it does take time to re size them for the site. I do this mainly becasue I don’t want anyone to be able to pull my images off the site and use them as their own work.

I have a few projects that I am working on. This site, a revamp of a commercial site, another CD cover and my blog as well as my 40+ hours a week full time job. Things will update gradually.

So as it appears I haven’t had much time to be doing anything on here.

But I do have a new layout that I am working on and a new theme. So in the next little while I will be working on that and getting it all set up so that it can be uploaded. I will be moving the Blog portion to a sub dir. and all of my graphics will be housed here from now on since I have already started uploading them.

The other thing I need to get in the habit of is returning comments from those that do. I don’t have all that much time lately so I have been slacking for sure. But hopefuly soon I will have some more time to work with.

Wow, so it’s like I am getting in over my head.

It has been maybe 2 years or so since I have edited WordPress themes. I have downloaded a few that I liked how they were set up and I was planning on tweaking them to fit what I wanted and it is definitely going to be more work that I had expected.

I am looking to make this page a bit more about my images slowly, and push the blogging part to a sub directory. Something a bit more private I guess. So I can post things that I may not want specific people to read. Not that I want to keep things from people. But at the same time there are people I know who have seen the site and sometimes I just want to vent.

That and I want something that if someone wants me to do graphics for them I have something semi professional to show them. They don’t really need to know how much I love “I’m on a boat”

That would be nice, to have the two separated. Very nice. I used to have a separate domain but I found the more I had the less I updated one or the other, it really is a lot of work and I work 45-50 hours a week, not on the computer, when I come home I don’t always have the energy to be on here.

I would like it to be my only job but its not pulling in the $$ as much as I would be able to like. Or to be able to afford. So a day time job it is until that day.

Just added some Vectors, link to the right.

Hey world.

That was cheesy. But that’s what I do I guess. Not much really to add since last week. But I have updated some of my blends, added a few more and linked them, only little caps of each are up. I, in the past have had issues with people stealing my work and using them, so with that, I will only post small images. Large images stay on my HD.

Still working on the vector, I am pleased with it so far, but its taking so much time mainly because I am a control freak and slightly obsessive so it has to look just so for me to be happy and the fact that Johnny had to wear that jacket… so much detail had to go in to it to make it just so.

I will be making a section for my vectors once this image is done. I have only one other under my belt so I want at least 2 before I post something else up there.

Edit:

I just finished the graphic, the vector that I was working on and I edited it in PhotoShop and I wanted to share it with you all. I am very happy with the way that it has turned out and I hope that Johnny is as well.

This one isn’t good at all I am just at home on my computer so there were references to porn for the computer but nothing really good.

Work:

A worldwide slave labour organization used to control modern man and prevent independent thought from occurring in any form. This is the reason it’s much harder to make anything of yourself working in creative arts, such as acting and singing - the government sees anyone more popular than them as a threat to their power. It is also an ingenious creation to make placebos such as computers and photocopiers look important to our way of life. So yeah that was it. Some of it very funny but the Kristen remark is so right on the money, best friend and she is awesomeness.

Still working on Johnnys image, I have gotten a bit further with the graphic, all the black is done. Which I am pleased with, I have started on the darkest grey, but I am thinking that I made it a bit too dark, and I may need to alter the layer once its done. I am having some creative blocking issues, I guess, I just had kind of a bad week, 8 days with no day off and I do have this weekend off. I am hoping that it is what I needed to get my shit in order so that I can finish the graphic.

Black layer Vector

I haven’t done too many vectors, I just started with them, but I do enjoy them. It’s not all that difficult. I mean it’s just tracing really. But the finished image always looks killer.

I may just be acting crazy becasue this image is harder than the last ones I used. his leather jacket has so much detail and so does his hair and guitar. I am just hoping it all comes out the way I have in my head.

I do, I really do! I heart Adobe products.

So why I say this is I am working on a couple sites for some friends. The idea behind one of the sites, is vectors.

My friend Johnny is a very talented singer, and guitarist. So I am working on his web site and his CD booklet. So… I have yet to do more than 2 vectors, but I have to say I am really enjoying them. I get the idea of them and i know how to use Illustrator so it really isn’t all that hard and I am very pleased with my progress so far.

That’s the image thus far, I only have the outline of the black on about half of the image but I love the process, how the image gets built over layers of black, greys and white.

So much fun.

Makes me wonder why I was so afraid to attempt a vector in the past. I guess it looked so hard, but really not all that hard once you get a handle of the pen tool in Illustrator.

I think that this image will take about 3 more hours. I am working pretty fast so it might be less time. To help me work I am listening to some of the rough cuts off of his CD which will be released in May.

Not to much else is really going on, I am thinking about updating somethings here, well not really updating since all of this is fairly new, it has been so long since I was active online and doing anything really so I am trying to get back in the habit.

We will see how that goes.

I’m on a Boat is their latest video online and it is amazing. These guys really know what they are doing and they are having fun doing it.

It’s not just that they are making fun of the music they are creating, in “I’m on a Boat” TPain appears and makes fun of his own genre of music like a champ. Just as Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg did in the video “Dick in a Box”

Making fun of music videos, how seriously some artists take their image, how “hard core” rappers rap about money drugs, fighting and bitches. Being a hustler isn’t on their minds, punching you in the jeans is.

Just after V for Vendetta the lovely Natalie Portman did her own hard core rap in an attempt to poke fun at her squeaky clean image, claiming to like to fight, fuck like a champ and smoke pot. You have to give everyone in the mix for taking part and having some fun for once.

Other Artists who joined in are Jack Black, Julian Casablancas, E-40, Norah Jones, and Chris Parnell from SNL.

I listen to this album daily, I love it, its on my ipod and I went to buy it the day it was released. Schaffer, Taccone, and Samberg have out done themselves. Their video “Jizz in my Pants” reached over 5 million views in under 5 days, and has reached 32,764,951 views (as of march 16th 2009 @ 6:48pm) since it was added 2 months ago. These guys are getting repeat views, daily. I know I watch it lots, I have a link on my desktop directly to that video.

Just a suggestion, visit their site, and view their vids on Youtube, they are amazing.

What’s your favourite You Tube video or channel?

I have very vivid dreams, I almost always remember them. It wasn’t always this way.

If you don’t always remember yours you can actually train yourself to do so. It’s easy and not hokey or creepy. All you need to do is always have a paper, a notebook is best and a pen beside your bed. When you randomly wake up from a dream jot down all the random details that stand out the most.

In the morning when you read it the less specific details will slowly come back to you. The more you do this the more you will remember and you wont have to write them down any more.

But I think of this mainly because your dreams seem so real, who’s to say they aren’t real?

Whats real?

In the matrix Morpheus says: “What is real? How do you define real? If you’re talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, what you can taste and see, then real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain.”

So, with this, when you dream, if it feels real and you have had that moment when you wake up where you aren’t sure if something happened or not who’s to say it didn’t. Who’s to say you  can’t secretly lead a double life?

A life where you can do what you want and there aren’t any real repercussions, where the laws of physics don’t exist the way that we know them.

Granted I know the difference between the two, but should that matter fully? No one else was there to share that experience, witness it, but that does happen often in your waking hours. People who have the inability to tell the difference, who see things while they are awake, not that I am saying I want to have those problems but it is something that I have wondered what it would feel like to experience that. If only for an hour.

The site is still being edited but I am feeling good about it. It has been well over a year since I have used Word Press but its one of those things that once you know how to use it no matter what they update (unless they change it 100% aha) you will always know what to do how to edit and how to work it.

So that’s a plus I guess.

I got off work really early today and I was slightly inclined to nap… but what would that accomplish? Exactly, nothing so I decided to get off my ass (I am actually sitting at the moment) but I wanted to stop procrastinating and get this site started.It’s been in limbo for at least 6 months.

So the general idea is that I will have a place to bitch, discuss, and post my graphics in a space other than Deviant art.

I have lots of space on my server so eventually I will be offering hosting to others, but that will be once I get my shit in order.
